One of the most unique characteristics of the Huilo Huilo Reserve is its rainforest, which is home to an enormous variety of native flora and fauna. It is also renowned for its exuberant waterfalls, some of which stretch over 50 meters high. And as if that weren't enough, it is home to species that cannot be found anywhere else as well as more than 250 km of roads that wind past lagoons, rivers and pristine beaches.
Huilo Huilo will fascinate even travelers who think they've seen it all. Relax and take in the scenery, snap pictures and read a good book by the fireplace in one of the area's lodges or hotels. Once you've recharged your batteries, enjoy a wide variety of activities like canopying 80 meters off the ground and snowboarding in the middle of summer.
The Reserve is a sort of year-round outdoor fun park. The winter rains won't stop you from participating in popular activities like trekking to the "Enchanted Stone," which involves a two-hour ascent and an incredible panoramic view of Lake Pirihuelco and the Villarrica, Mocho-Choshuenco and Lanín Volcanoes. You can also try water sports, sport fishing, horseback riding and cycling.
