Hot Springs and Spas

Take a well-deserved break, contemplating beautiful scenery as you soak in warm thermal waters.

The most chic option for an all-natural getaway is Termas de Puyuhuapi, on the Carretera Austral. Here you'll find a luxury hotel on a fjord with an impressive view featuring hot springs (both outdoor and covered), a natural pool and a full spa where you can enjoy beauty and relaxation treatments.

If you are visiting northern Chile, head to the Termas de Puritama. Just 30 km from San Pedro de Atacama, these hot springs are located in a mountain enclave on the way to the El Tatio Geysers. Their eight pools are filled with water that is naturally heated to 32ºC, dressing rooms, and wooden walkways.

In central Chile, you'll find a simpler option. Termas de Jahuel, which is just 98 km north of Santiago, offers indoor and outdoor thermal pools and a spa. And just a couple of hours southeast of Santiago (117 km), you'll find Termas de Cauquenes, which combines first-rate cuisine with relaxation in a renowned hotel.

Near the border of the Biobío region, 16 km from the city of Linares (307 km from Santiago), there's Termas de Quinamávida, whose waters flow from curative springs discovered in 1876. In addition to soaking, you can enjoy mud and clay massages as well as wine therapy.

A bit further south, in the region of Biobío, you'll encounter the Termas de Chillán, which are part of a major ski center complex. This is the perfect destination for those seeking to unwind during the day and have fun at night, as it's the only hot spring complex that includes a casino. Amenities include three hotels, fresh water swimming pools, thermal pools and a thermal spa.

Villarrica National Park  is home to the Termas Geométricas, with more than 20 pools (three of them with cold water) surrounded by forests and wooden walkways. Perfect for athletes and sporting tourists, the Termas de Malalcahuello, also in the Andean Araucanía, offers friction, vibration and tissue movement therapies that produce relaxing and decontracting effects.

Near Osorno, and directly accessible via the international highway from Argentina, Termas de Puyuhue are located in the national park of the same name. Here you'll find a five-star hotel, outdoor and indoor pools and a complete spa.

The hot springs of Chile will leave you feeling thoroughly refreshed and reenergized.
