Tourist attractions in San Pedro de Atacama begin to return to normal

After the bad weather front that affected the San Pedro district and forced the closure of most of the area's tourist attractions, the situation is beginning to return to normal.
The archeological site Pukara de Quitor is now open to the public from 9am to 7pm. Access is via the Cordillera de la Sal (exit towards Calama).
The communities of Chiu Chiu and Lasana are also fully open to visitors.
The village of Tulor re-opened on February 15. Opening hours are from 8.30 am to 2pm, and visits must be accompanied by a local guide. Visitors are requested to enter via the bypass, on the east side of Ayllu de Coyo.
Valle de la Luna is open to tourists from 9am to 6pm. Tours must keep to the main road and should enter through booth number 1, San Pedro de Atacama sector. Tours should be accompanied by local guides, such as the park rangers.
